Morgan Minno is a senior at Struthers High School.
Minno is a four-year letter winner for softball and has been playing for 14 years. For 14 years, her team has been consistent by having each others’ backs. The letter winner plays first base and is a pitcher. The softball player’s favorite part is getting to know new people and making new friends.
Minno has made many friends in her 14 years of playing.
“I have made so many [friends] along the way and playing the game with them has always been my favorite thing to do,” says Minno.
On top of playing softball, Minno still maintains a 3.7 GPA, works at Chick-fil-A and is Class President. She says that when it comes to work and school, she’s always been good at maintaining both. When it comes to other priorities, Minno’s strategy is to not stress herself out and to get the work done when she gets it.
Looking into Minno’s senior year, she thinks softball will have a good season.
“I definitely feel like we have a better chance this year than we did last year. Our competition and our drive to do better is there,” says Minno.
Minno said her and her softball team have recently started conditioning and practice, which is going well. The senior says that a lot of freshmen are showing up and are looking to play. Minno’s goal for her last season is to just have fun and take it all in.
Minno says it is her senior year, and it is important to have fun.
“Being a part of the Struthers softball team brought so much into my life. Playing with the same girls and coming to an end is sad, but it was well worth it in the end,” says Minno.
