“On My Block” is a popular show on Netflix that was released on March 16, 2018.

“On My Block” is about 4 kids, Ruby Martinez (Jason Genao), Monse Finnie (Sierra Capri). Along with the help of Caesar’s brother Oscar Diaz (Julio Macias), the young teens go through a lot together. The show stopped airing on October 4, 2021.

One con would be the amount of gang violence that is portrayed in the show. The reason this is a con is because most of the audience are younger kids and that could give them the wrong idea. Another con would be the mature themes shown in the show such as, pregnancies, mental health and the side effects of trauma. It’s a con because the younger audience shouldn’t be influenced by these things at such a young age.

One pro would be the way the show shows how friendships can change. That is a pro because these are real life experiences people go through with friendships around the world you just don’t know it. Another pro would be the way that the show has a lot of humor. The characters are really funny and can make you laugh during some really funny parts of the show.

The overall rating would be a 8/10 because it is a good show but there could always be something added.
