The Cleveland Browns traded for wide receiver Jerry Jeudy from the Denver Broncos on March 14, 2024 for a 2024 fifth round pick and a 2024 sixth round pick.

The Browns signing another star receiver to their roster helps QB Deshaun Watson to have someone to rely on when coming back from a season-ending injury. Jerry Jeudy is just one of the big names on the Browns offense. Some other names are receiver Amari Cooper, receiver Eji’ah Moore, tight end David Njoku and running back Nick chubb.

The Browns offense in the 2023-2024 season was ranked 16th in the NFL. The Browns, coming off of an injured season, hope to move up the list to be one of the best offenses in the league.

The Browns had shown interest with Jerry Jeudy when he entered the 2020 draft,  before the Denver Broncos drafted him with the fifteenth overall pick.

“I had heard that the Browns were interested in me even two years ago… To hear that, and then be here now is exciting. It’s surreal. I feel like I am wanted, and the team has really made me feel welcomed. The Browns already had a great receiving corps with guys like Amari Cooper and Elijah Moore and I think I will fit in with them. Amari is actually a guy I’ve been modeling my game after since I was young and we became friends while I was at Bama. I am excited to see what the future holds,” says Jeudy.

While Jeudy was playing for the Broncos, he has had much success as a player, but not so much with the team. The Broncos went on to a below 500 win rate every season Jeudy was on the team.

Jeudy has shown much frustration with the Broncos team and teammates and thinks the Browns are the right fit for him.

“It means a lot… In my time at Bama, I got a chance to catch up with Amari and become close friends with him. That’s a guy that I’ve been modeling my game after for a long time and been watching him since I was young. So, being able to play alongside him it’s going to be exciting,” says Jeudy.

Before Jeudy got traded to the Browns, he played with two quarterbacks on the Broncos: quarterback Drew Locke and quarterback Russell Wilson. Drew Locke is now a backup on the New York Giants and Russel Wilson is now on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

With Jeudy playing with a new Quarterback, he thinks it will be a good duo.

“I think we can complement each other really well… Deshaun is a smart, accurate quarterback that knows where to put the ball for a receiver to make plays,” says Jeudy.
