Marisa Orbin is a senior at Struthers High School.
Many students have goals and certain expectations for themselves when it comes to school. Some of the goals could be keeping their grades up, doing better in certain classes and more. The goals can vary depending on the student.
Orbin’s goals are to maintain her grades and to apply for scholarships.
“My goal for the rest of the year is to apply to as many scholarships as possible and keep up my grades,” says Orbin.
Teachers are a very important part of school. They teach students, not only lessons on a certain subject, but also knowledge that prepares them for the rest of their lives. Some teachers go above and beyond, striving to impact their students in the best way possible.
Orbin’s favorite teacher is Mrs. Mickler because of her positive attitude.
“My favorite teacher would have to be Mrs. Mickler. She is always so positive and wants to help everyone she can. I admire that,” says Orbin.
When becoming a senior, students have to start thinking about their future. They can attend college, trade schools or even get straight into the work field. It’s good for students to have a plan or idea for what they want to do outside of high school.
Orbin wants to go to college and get into nursing.
“I plan to graduate college with a nursing degree, and hopefully I will be able to start working straight out of college,” says Orbin.
