As the year is still progressing driftingly, many music artists and singers have taken upon the opportunity to rock out new songs. Jennifer Lopez is one of these artists that dropped a new album for the public to see and listen to.

The album she released is named “This is me… Now.” This new album is a R&B album with a total of 13 songs. The album was released on February 16, 2024. The songs contain many different messages involving love and fame. There is a medium-paced beat along with a melody that is calm yet sweetly energetic. The album is 44 minutes long and is Jennifer’s ninth studio album.

The song’s names in this album are “This is Me…Now,” “To Be Yours,” “Mad In Love,” “Can’t Get Enough,” “not.going.anywhere.,” “Rebound,” “Dear Ben, Pt. II,” “Hummingbird,” “Hearts and Flowers,” “Broken Like Me,” “This Time Around,” “Midnight Trip To Vegas” and “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.” Each of these songs display a distinct beat and wording. The songs in this album express a lot of different emotions that correlate with the instruments used and the words selected in these songs. The song, “Broken Like Me,” expresses emotions of shame or regret by the instrumentals, while the rest of the songs express emotions of happiness and/or emotions of love.

The songs talk about different messages of love, fame and Lopez herself. “Hummingbird” expresses the general message of helping a person to be the best version of themselves. As for “Hearts and Flowers,” the song generally expresses the struggles of fame. “This is Me…Now” generally expresses her life story and who she wanted to be. Each of these songs express a different story and message that some can relate to. With the messages of the songs and the instrumentals, they express the emotion the songs capture in this album.

This album is a 4/5 recommendation. People who are into R&B or people who generally enjoy music should give this album a listen.
