“Princess and The Frog” is based on a girl from New Orleans who wants to own a restaurant and be a professional cook.

The movie was released on December 11, 2009. The movie was about a girl who lived in the not-so-well streets of New Orleans and was working two jobs everyday back-to-back, busting herself to make money. She wanted to live up to her dreams and aspirations so bad that she worked so many hours to where she was completely exhausted. This was until she attended a party and met Prince Naveen, who was transformed into a frog from the Shadow Man. She then became a frog and they traveled the river together and made ways to survive, until they were able to figure out a way to get back to their true form.

One good aspect of this movie is when Tiana was turned into a frog, she was able to let loose and be able to figure out what she wanted to be in life and who she wanted to be with. She was able to find true love with Prince Naveen after spending so much time with him. When becoming a frog, she realized how much more there was to herself then just working 24/7. Tiana saw parts of her town she had never seen and taught herself how to survive on the street.

One bad aspect of this movie is when Prince Naveen’s butler, Lawernce turns against him for money and turns him into a frog. Lawrence tries to take away Naveen’s life out of jealousy and wants to look as handsome as he does by stealing his identity.

“Princess and The Frog” teaches others not to give up on their goals they have in life. Nothing is ever too hard or impossible; if you put in the work, you can make it happen. This movie deserves a 10/10 for the meaning it holds and the lesson it gives to the audience.
