Ms. Parella is an Engloish teacher at SHS.

Parella is a teacher at Struthers High School. She has only taught at Struthers, and she has been teaching for 32 years.

She teaches multiple subjects, all revolving around English. She adores each subject she teaches and loves what she does.

Parella does enjoy every subject she teaches, but she has one that sticks out to her the most.

“I enjoy all of the subjects that I teach; however, Communications has always been a favorite of mine, and my new favorite is the Exploring Majors and Careers class because I enjoy helping students discover new career options and identify their strengths,” says the teacher.

Even though she loves her job, it can be difficult in many different ways. Teaching can be very challenging at times.

She doesn’t regret anything, and she enjoys her job, but sometimes it can be stressful.

“Most of my classes are writing intensive subjects, so from a grading standpoint, they can all be stressful at different times,” says Parella.

Miss Parella continues to pursue her students into learning each and every day.

She is very happy with her decisions in becoming a teacher, and she has great experiences.

“I’ve enjoyed my career at Struthers High School. I have amazing and supportive colleagues, and I’ve had the pleasure of teaching and getting to know thousands of students during my time here,” says Parella.
