“Holiday in Handcuffs” is a movie starring Melissa Joan Hart, who is known as “Trudy.” The character handcuffed a man during the holidays and kidnapped him as her pretend boyfriend.
This movie exemplifies love being blind in many different ways. While Trudy’s boyfriend left her, she didn’t want to be looked at as a disappointment to her family who couldn’t keep a man. As she saw a handsome man walk into her place of work, she came up with an idea and took action. As she kidnapped him and told him the plan, she drove up to her family cabin and took away all the ways that he could leave. They start to slowly fall for each other; meanwhile, in reality, he has a fiance.
A good aspect of this movie is that two strangers who know nothing about each other meet in a crazy way and end up falling deeply in love with each other. They never would’ve thought they would end up liking each other, but they clicked very fast and started spending so much time together.
One downfall of the movie was when he ended up leaving his finance. She told her family everything that was the truth of her kidnapping him and they went their separate ways. She went and followed her dreams, and he ended up realizing he made the wrong choice.
This movie earns a 9/10. It’s something you can watch with your family during the holidays. “Holiday in Handcuffs” teaches the audience to go for what they truly desire in life and to go after what makes them happy.
