FLORIDA STATE SNUBBED IN CFP

Everyone is disappointed in the CFP committee after leaving the undefeated power 5 program and ACC champion, Florida State, out of the Top 4 for the CFP.

Florida State being an undefeated power 5 team and not making the playoffs might be remembered forever.

Florida State was ranked in the top 5 of the rankings all year until the final rankings for teams who make the playoffs. In week 12, first string QB Jordan Travis broke his leg. Before this injury, he was a potential Heisman candidate. This injury basically ended all Florida State hopes for the playoffs.

Quarterback Jordan Travis was really upset about the decision that the committee made.

“I wish I broke my leg earlier in the season so y’all could see this team is much more than the quarterback,” says Travis.

Florida State had arguably the best defenses in college football. Florida State gave up only 20 ppg and held Louisville to 6 points in the ACC conference championship. Many people know they may have lost the first round in the CFP, but they went 13-0 and for sure deserved it.

Many Florida State employees were upset and devastated about the CFP decision and want to launch an investigation. Boo Corrigan, for example, is the selection committee chairman who is also the athletic director at North Carolina State, which is Florida State’s Atlantic Coast Conference rival.

“Florida State is a different team than they were through the first 11 weeks,” says Corrigan.

Florida State is now the first team in history to miss after having an unbeaten season. The Seminoles won 2 games, including a conference championship without Jordan Travis, and the committee decided 1 loss to Texas and Alabama were better decisions for the playoff. They will continue to play No. 6 Georgia and back-to-back national champions to prove they should have been there.

The Seminoles just wished they had a shot at a title.

“Ask Nick Foles and the rest of the 2017-18 Eagles if they are a worse team than anyone else who made the playoffs that year because Carson Wentz got hurt during the regular season. Spoiler alert: the Eagles won the Super Bowl that year,” says Kyle Chandler.
