The Bengals have hit a rough patch of the season with Joe Burrow getting hurt.

The Bengals hit a rough patch this year after a few key players got injured, and it looks like the playoffs are out of reach.

The Bengals are playing with their backup quarterback, Jake Browning. He was a top quarterback coming out of high school and went to the Washington Huskies. Browning was a four-year starter and record-setting passer, throwing for 12,296 yards and 94 touchdowns while starting 54 games.

Browning has to step up to the plate now that Joe Burrow is hurt.

“Browning went undrafted and signed as a free agent with the Vikings, where he spent three seasons on the practice squad. He’s been with the Bengals for two seasons now and serves as Burrow’s backup,” says Sports Illustrated.

The Bengals’ star player Joe Burrow has had a season-ending injury which has affected the Bengals’ backup. Jake Browning replaced Joe Burrow against the Ravens when Burrow went down.

Since Browning replaced Burrow, the Bengals have not won a game.

“Browning replaced Burrow against the Ravens and started Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bengals lost both games to fall to 5-6. Browning completed 19 of 26 passes for 227 yards with one touchdown and one interception in Sunday’s 16-10 loss to the Steelers,” says Yahoo Sports.

The Bengals’ playoff hopes are over with their playoff chances standing at a staggering 2.0 percent it would take a miracle for them to make the playoffs.

The Bengals have a very low chance of making the playoffs.

“ESPN’s Football Power Index (PFI) gives the Bengals a 3.4% chance of making the playoffs. That means they’re just as likely to do it as you are to win five consecutive coin tosses and 10 times more likely to accomplish it than you are of having your car stolen or a professional bowler rolling a 300 game,” says Pro Football Network.
