Mr. Pascarella is a 7th grade English teacher and a high school football coach for Struthers.
Pascarella has been teaching for 17 years and coaching for a total of 19. He started his career in Howland but soon came to Struthers.
Coach Pascarella believes that one of the best parts of coaching is having the opportunity to grow the bond with his oldest son Christian and create many memories. He is excited to have the same opportunity with his youngest son Ashton when he arrives at the high school next year.
“Having my son Christian on the team has always been the ‘cherry on top’ being able to experience everything with him this year. These are memories I will cherish for the rest of my life and have me very excited to hopefully be a part of my youngest son Ashton coming up to play for our program,” says Pascarella.
Pascarella coaches wide receivers and helps out with secondary defense for the Struthers Wildcats.
Being involved with the sport he has loved since a kid has always been a goal he’s had.
“Coaching was always a dream for me. Just being involved with the sport that I’ve loved my whole life has truly been an amazing experience,” says Pascarella.
Pascarella had many inspirational figures growing up. His 3rd and 5th grade teachers inspired him to go into education while his college mentor cemented his decision. His father has always been an inspiration when it came to football. His two high school coaches, Coach Roland Smith and Coach Dick Angle, were guides to him as well.
Coach Pascarella is pretty excited about the team making it as far as they did. Extending the season has always been a goal to the team.
“Getting ready for Week 14 is always a dream. We always hope to keep the season going, but we also know how special this season has been,” says Pascarella.
