Mr. Shuluga is a teacher at Struthers High School. He started the Struthers Wildcat school store.
Shuluga opened the store a couple years ago. In the class, he teaches the students how to make and print the designs on the clothing items. The students in the class then sell the items they have created.
In the store, they have a variety of different Struthers gear.
“There are many different items from t-shirts, sweatpants and other clothing items that are sold in the school store,” says Shuluga.
The Struthers teacher has some struggles running the store. With popular items, there are very few pieces of equipment that make those products. They also struggle with the amount of product needed to be made because of the little material they have in the store.
As well as teaching, there are also struggles with running the store.
“Having access to on demand products that customers want. We struggle with only having one heat press when demand is high. Also, with other equipment we are lacking that could help with the struggles. Deadlines can be hard to meet when there is a need for a fast turnaround time,” says the Struthers teacher.
The store owner has future plans on expanding the storeand the products. He has hopes to get students to take over the store. Shulugla loves seeing the final product of the clothing and seeing students wear the items around school.
He is looking for other ideas on expanding the store.
“We are looking into other items to sell in the store, but we are always looking for others to have input on what they would like to have in the store,” says the store owner.
