Anthony Carter was a key asset to the Cats’ football success.

The Struthers Wildcat football team played the Lake Catholic Cougars in the 3rd round playoff game on November 10 at the Berkshire Badgers Stadium.

The two football teams played each other to see who could advance farther in the playoffs.

This is the first time the Struthers Wildcats move this far into the playoffs in a long time.

A lot of players are very excited about the win over Lake Catholic. Caleb Sakara is a senior for the Wildcats and wants to save his emotions for the end.

¨I’m enjoying every moment of this journey, but there is nothing to be happy about yet, because the job is not finished,¨says senior Sakara.

Anthony Carter is the running back for Struthers Wildcats he weighs 189 pounds. He is a very big part of the Struthers Wildcats football team.

Carter has started varsity since his freshman year and keeps on succeeding all the way up to this year: his senior year.

¨You know it was great to get the win, I am very excited about it. I am ready to move to Canton South,¨says senior Anthony Carter.

Braylon Myers is a sophomore. He plays defensive end and tight end. Myers worked very hard in the off season to show how talented and reliable he can be.

Myers did a fantastic job in the game and showed what he is capable of when he is on the football field.

¨It felt pretty good to win the game because people thought that we couldn’t make it this far and especially beat Lake Catholic. Our team overcame many adversities and challenges, but we overcame all of them,¨ says the sophomore.
