Miss Yargo is in her first year at SHS.

Miss Yargo is a first year teacher at Struthers High School. This is her 10th year teaching.

Yargo has taught at two other schools which were Valley Christian School and Mahoning County High School. She is now the newest addition to the English Department.

She teaches two different subjects and enjoys the different classes she has.

“I teach 9th Grade English and Grammar/Creative Writing. I love everything about all the subjects,” says Yargo.

The new teacher seems to be adjusting fine to her new change. Being a teacher, you have to be able to work well with not just the students but also the staff.

Yargo is making great connections with the other staff.

“I really enjoy teaching my group of students and working with all of the teachers, administrators and other staff at Struthers,” says Yargo.

As a teacher, there is a lot that comes with the career. Some of her challenges are trying to motivate students who don’t see the point of English class.

Yargo’s favorite part of her job is being able to help her students.

“I love so much about teaching, but I think the best part is getting to know students and helping them become more confident in their abilities,” says Yargo.
