Gary Mudryk is a senior football player at Struthers High School.
Mudryk has been playing football since he was in first grade. He grew up playing football with all his friends, who he still gets to share the experience with. He enjoys the time he spent on the field and is grateful for all the years he played.
The Cats had an important playoff game on Friday, October 27.
“It was a good game against Girard who we beat in the final seconds last time we played,” says Mudryk.
Mudryk is an outside linebacker but is capable of many other positions. He works hard on the field and always supports his team. He is savoring his last few weeks of his high school career.
Mudryk has experienced many special moments this season, but there is one he will continue to remember.
“Something that I will remember is when I caught an interception against East at home. The game was basically over, but it was still a cool moment either way,” says Mudryk.
Mudryk believes that compared to the 2022 football season, this team has majorly improved. They work together and work hard and want to make this season the best it can be.
Although the Cats are doing very well this season, every team has something to work on.
“We run the ball too much, so the other team knows that it is coming every time. If we just passed a little more often, it would open up the run game so much more,” says Mudryk.
