Our future relies on renewable energy.
Renewable energy is safer and better for the environment.
It does not emit greenhouse gases and does not pollute the air and generate toxic waste. According to “Renewable Energy Cleans Up the Environment,” “One of the greatest environmental benefits renewable energy delivers is pollution reduction. Nearly 30% of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions come from burning fossil fuels used in electricity generation.” It will be expensive to set up, but it will create jobs for a lot of people and will pay for itself in its lifespan. Not to mention these sources will never run out, they replenish themselves and are sustainable for our life span.
People say fossil fuels and non-renewable energy is more efficient than renewable energy and generates more energy. That is not necessarily true looking at the overall efficiency. You do not need a truck or a boat to transfer clean energy from place to place; it goes from the source of energy to where it is needed.
What needs to change is the amount of clean energy and renewable energy sources because it will help save our planet for future generations. We need to start making more changes and slowly transiting more and more into renewable energy.
The reason the switch is slower than it needs to be is because it costs a lot of money, but is money more important than our future? The reason this costs so much money is because of the fact that our systems have been set up by fossil fuels, but it is not too late to fix it for a better future.
