The last couple of seasons the Minnesota Timberwolves have been a top tier playoff contender for the NBA finals.
Year in and out, they have had a solid overall team and have been able to compete with anyone. They seem to be the underdogs this year due to their season being a bit of a rollercoaster ride.
This year’s star player Anthony Edwards suffered a tough injury and just recently played through it for game one of the Spurs series. They won the nail biting game, 104-102.
Viewers didn’t think that Edwards would return for game one of the series.
“No one expected Anthony Edwards to return for Game 1 of this series. There was some hope that he’d be back at some point during the series, but he toughed it out to help his team to victory in Game 1,” said NBA reporters.
Edwards is by far the greatest player on the Timberwolves; he carries his team to wins every game and plays through adversity like no other. Without his presence, the squad is said to always be missing something.
Edwards puts on a show with a limited amount of time.
“Despite his limited minutes, Edwards put up 18 points on 8 of 13 shooting as Minnesota held on for a 104-102 win in Game 1,” said NBA reporters.
The Timberwolves are on their way to create a huge fanbase. A few years ago, no one really cared about this team, but nowadays they are a huge pick for fans to bet on and watch.
Timberwolves bring up their chances of winning the series.
“The oddsmakers are giving the Timberwolves a fighting chance after their Game 1 win. They closed as +11.5 underdogs and now open two points lower at +9.5.,” said NBA reporters.
