Tyler Cole is a sophomore student at Struthers High School. He is a proud member of the football, basketball and track team.
Cole is a multi-sport athlete and has been participating in basketball and football for 11 years but only 3 years in track. He enjoys the company of his teammates while playing. One of the student athlete’s biggest goals is to break 1,000 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns in football.
Even though Cole has been playing football for a very long time, he will never forget who inspired him to decide to play.
“My dad inspired me; I just have always looked up to my dad for everything. He was a great athlete in high school, and he inspired me to be great in sports and life,” says the athlete.
During the off season, Cole tends to train a lot and lift weights. He believes the most important aspect to playing these sports is being athletic and figuring out how to balance them all on top of your social life.
Even though the athlete does many sports, he still finds a way to fit everything else into his schedule as well.
“In school, I try to get all my work done and take advantage of time I have in school to do all my work, so after school I only have to worry about practice and work,” he says.
Growing up his household was very big on sports. Being previously mentioned his father also played football. This is one of the main reasons for the athletes’ sports choice.
The sophomore’s only inspiration wasn’t just his father; it was also someone else who is very close to him.
“In basketball, I look up to my brother, Tommy,’’ says Cole.
