Whether somebody is doing online learning or in-person learning, it’s better than not attending school at all. Although both are good, in-person learning can be significantly more beneficial than learning online is.
Learning in person promotes success.
There are multiple reasons why in-person learning is more beneficial than learning online. Firstly, learning in person can limit distractions better than learning from home. While online, there are many things that can interrupt the learning, whether it’s getting distracted by a television, or having to attend to pets. Although there are still distractions while being in school, they’re not as significant as it is at home. Next, being in person promotes better connections and communications. While learning in school, students are surrounded by other people going through the same thing that they are going through, promoting communication to work through a problem. It’s easier to communicate with a teacher if a student is struggling while directly face-to-face with the teacher. According to the article, “The In-person Advantage: Why Face-to-face Education Has Benefits” by Berry College, “College campuses, the physical spaces themselves, are also significant advantages for students as they are built to support student success and to cultivate an atmosphere of learning. Students can easily find help and resources as well as having access to labs, technologies and library resources that are unavailable to online-only students.” Schools usually provide the majority of things that students would either want or need to enhance their learning.
Many believe that learning online is better than learning in person because it’s more flexible and more accessible. It is more flexible by being able to log in from anywhere and accomplish your school work and learning. Although online learning is more flexible and accessible, going to school helps students stay in line and there are many ways to make it more flexible and accessible.
Students who are struggling with finding ways to school making it hard to access should know there are ways to fix this. This can start with taking public transportation, such as school buses, public buses. Then to help with flexibility some schools allow students to come late or leave early depending on whether the student is passing or not.
All things considered, in-person school provides opportunities that online school doesn’t. In-person learning also has a higher success rate compared to online students because of the help and communication you can get in person that you can’t get online.
