Caleb Sakara is a 18-year-old senior baseball player at Struthers High School.
Sakara has been playing baseball for over 10 years; his position is in left field.
His favorite thing about baseball is the rush.
“I like the adrenaline when you’re on the bases and when you get the chance to catch the ball in the outfield,” says Sakara.
The athlete has actually decided against going to college; he wants to go into the trades instead. Sakara has also decided against going pro in the future.
For this remaining season, his goals are to get a high batting percentage as well as the best field percentage.
“I am not that interested into going pro. I’m just here to have fun,” says Sakara.
The left fielder acknowledges that his high school career is coming to an end, but he’s happy to just be enjoying it at the moment.
Sakara has a good piece of advice for upcoming high school baseball players.
“Practice your craft and believe in yourself,” says Sakara.
