Sofia Previte is a junior at MCCTC. She plays soccer and is on the girls’ bowling team.
Starting a sport at a young age helps athletes as they move into higher levels of the sport. They get more practice and experience to become better athletes.
Previte has been bowling since she was eight and grew to love it though her friends.
“A few of my friends were already bowling and pushed me to try it out, and I knew this was something I could go far with,” says the athlete.
The Struthers bowling team has been to state for the past two years. They have fallen short both years, but it’s believed they’ll make it again this year.
Being a part of state is a big memory for Previte, along with other accomplishments.
“My favorite memory of highschool bowling is seeing all of our hard work pay off throughout every season, from being back to back undefeated conference champs, having a full undefeated season, winning tournaments, making the all tournament team, and making it to state,” says Previte.
Every athlete has things that they are proud of. They work very hard every day to become better athletes.
The bowler has had high accomplishments for herself.
“My biggest individual accomplishment throughout my high school seasons is making an all tournament team and placing third over 70 other girls by shooting a 612 (190,232,190),” says the student.
