Robbie DeCerbo is a junior at Struthers High School. He is a part of the football team and has been playing since the 5th grade.
The Wildcats football team went the farthest this year than any team in school history. This year’s group of juniors and seniors had a lot of talent; they had been waiting to play together since middle school.
This season will be a story everyone talks about due to the great things they did.
“I will miss playing with the seniors; we’ve been waiting for my junior year and their senior year for so long, and now it’s already over,” says DeCerbo.
With next year’s seniors, there is a lot of talent that will be on the team. The boys have a lot of confidence for next year and how far they’ll go.
The juniors on the football team have a lot of high hopes for next year.
“Next season, I want to win the NE8 and make another playoff run,” says the defensive end.
With Friday night games being missed, all we can think about is next year. The crowd cheers loud for the boys like you’d never believe.
The Wildcat stadium is awesome and the atmosphere is amazing.
“It’s different, especially during the playoffs, the energy is different than any other football game I have played,” says the player.
