The Struthers Wildcats baseball team destroyed the Warren Raiders on April 14 at Mollenkopf Stadium in Warren. The Wildcats came through and beat the Raiders with a finishing score of 12-0.
The Cats had been so determined to win that they didn’t let Warren manage to score anything.
The Wildcats had been on a losing streak for the past few games prior to this and were due for a win. They had come into this game confident and got a positive response to it.
Freshman Will Bradley explains the team’s thoughts.
“Everyone was excited to get another win,” says Bradley.
There were many strengths and weaknesses of this game. So far, the opposing team had not been performing very well and making many mistakes.
Bradley shares some of the team’s strengths.
“Being able to put the ball against the opposing team in play and making plays when the ball was hit to us,’ said the athlete.
Since this game had resulted in a win, the team had been very hype after and finally at ease with their win. The game had some great moments and awesome plays.
Will describes one of the best moments of the game.
“Nick Mikulinski got the last hit of the game to hit me and Adrian Nunez in,” says the freshman.
