Hannah Susany is a student athlete at Struthers High School. She is going into her 10th year playing softball and started playing for the Struthers High school softball team her freshman year.
Although Susany has had many ups and downs during softball season, she continues to push herself. Susany is currently a junior. Since starting high school softball, she has really bonded and has a deep passion for the sport.
Susany got into the sport by her mother guiding her into that direction since her mother played softball for a lifetime.
Susany says, “My mom influenced me to play since she played her whole life, and she wanted me to keep pursuing.”
Susany has mentally struggled with continuing softball, but the people around her and when she steps on the field make her realize she enjoys playing. Other than just her family and friends, Susany had famous softball players she looked up to push her and to continue to keep playing.
Susany is not just involved in softball but clubs such as Medical Careers Club and Interact Club.
While she may have some ups and downs, Susany wants to attend Kent Salem for her future, which is softball. Softball is a very important part of her life especially since she has been playing since 2nd grade. This sport keeps her very busy while being in the sports she is involved in.
Susany feels that she has made lasting friendships through this sport; these people are still in the presence of her life.
Susany says, “The friendships you make with teammates. I’ve met a lot of great people through this sport, and I am still friends with them to this day because of it.”
