The Dallas Cowboys franchise tagged George Pickens on February 27.
The decision Dallas made is a great one: to have an elite WR like him paired up with Ceedee Lamb is great. Both of them, the elite WR and Pickens, proved it last season.
Dallas spent a load of money on Pickens, a franchise tag of 27.298 million dollars.
The Dallas organization is very excited to plan on having Pickens for his NFL career.
I’m looking forward to getting things worked out so George can be a Cowboy a long time,” said the owner of Dallas, Jerry Jones.
The 2025 season was the first season Pickens played with the Cowboys; he recorded 1,429 receiving yards on only 93 receptions and added 9 receiving touchdowns.
Pickens is excited for the upcoming season and would not want to play for a different organization.
“He was fired up that he wasn’t going to be going anywhere,” said Jones.
In the 2025 season, Pickens earned himself his first Pro Bowl selection, named Second-Team All Pro and won offensive MVP in the Pro Bowl game.
Pickens is a legit WR; he proved it week after week in the 2025 season.
“What I was most impressed about is just the way that he was focused and locked in in the game, the whole game,” quarterback Dak Prescott said.
