There has been a lot of major changes in the NFL over this past year that has made a big impact.
More specifically the HC job.
The Falcons have hired Kevin Stefanski as their new head coach. The Falcons fired Morris on Jan. 4 following back-to-back 8-9 seasons. Atlanta has not made the playoffs in eight seasons, the second-longest drought in the NFL. The Falcons have also not had a winning record since 2017. In addition to Morris’ dismissal, the Falcons also fired general manager Terry Fontenot on Jan. 4 after five seasons. Their general manager search is ongoing.
Stefanski signed a five-year contract to become the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons in January 2026.
Stefanski stated, “I’m beyond thrilled to be charged with leading this iconic franchise” and noted that there was a “pull to this job and pull to this city.”
The Browns are hiring Monken, Baltimore’s former offensive coordinator, to be their next head coach. Monken, who turns 60 on Feb. 5, replaces Stefanski, who was fired on Jan. 5 after six seasons in Cleveland. The Browns finished 5-12 this past season and have an 8-26 record since last reaching the playoffs in the 2023 season.
Monken signed a five-year contract to become the head coach of the Cleveland Browns, according to reports in January 2026. This deal secures him as the head coach through the 2030 season.
“I am excited to lead this flagship NFL franchise. It’s been a long time coming. It really has been a long journey. […] I’m jacked. I’m excited to be with the Cleveland Browns, I mean it’s hard to even put into words,” he said.
The Raiders officially announced Kubiak as the team’s new head coach. The Seahawks’ offensive coordinator had confirmed on NFL Network following the team’s 29-13 victory over the Patriots in Super Bowl XL on Sunday night that he would be leaving Seattle to take over as coach of the Raiders.
They are giving Kubiak a five-year contract, a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
“You guys know I’m going to Las Vegas,” Kubiak said from the Levi’s Stadium field in Santa Clara, California. “I’m fired up about it.”
