The Las Vegas Raiders were defeated by the Cleveland Browns. The pair of teams competed on November 23rd at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
The victory for the Browns pushes them to 3-8 and changes their draft position for the NFL draft. As for Las Vegas, they get a better draft position but fall to 2-9 and out of playoff contention.
Myles Garrett played a giant role for the Cleveland defense which was impressive against Vegas’s offense. Garrett had an impressive 3 sacks against the Raiders and was a key player for the team to secure the win.
Browns defensive tackle Maliek Collins spoke very highly of Garrett, praising him for his impressive game, and especially for his magnificent football season.
“Having these games that he’s been having lately, it’s like the sky is really the limit. Whatever he puts his mind to he can achieve,” says Collins.
Maxx Crosby for the Raiders had an impressive game defensively; he finished the game with a personal-high 5 tackles for loss against the Browns.
Even though Vegas took a loss, head coach Pete Carroll thought that Crosby was a leader for staying out on the field for all four quarters of the game, fighting for his team.
¨If you could have heard Maxx [Crosby] in the locker room yesterday, you would think that these guys are tight and connected and on the same page. I’m proud to be able to say that he’s a captain on this club,¨ says Carroll.
Quarterback Shedeur Sanders had an impressive first career start for the Browns. Sanders finished the game with 209 passing yards, completing 11 of his 20 passing attempts.
Browns Head Coach Kevin Stefanski expressed his excitement with Sanders first career win and was more impressed on how he performed.
“For the young quarterback, you only get better with more turns at this thing in these games, as you see more coverages, as you see more defenses and as you prepare versus different defenses. So just looking forward to that constant improvement with Shedeur and for all of our young players,” says Stefanski.
