Duke’s basketball team is always the highlight of their school. Year after year, they dominate teams throughout the nation. They are projected to win themselves a natty every year.
They always have all the pressure on them, and usually they are able to live up to the hype.
Duke just recently beat Howard by 37 points on Sunday, November 23rd. The final score was 93-56. Duke had eight different players score in the first half of the game. Howard couldn’t get anything going for them.
Duke started off the game against Howard stronger than ever.
“Patrick Ngongba II slammed home the first bucket of the game off an alley-oop pass from Caleb Foster. A fast-break slam by Isaiah Evans on the next possession forced a Howard timeout after just 90 seconds of play,” said NCAA reporters.
With the new two twin brother athletes joining the team, Duke feels as if their teamwork is better than ever. The chemistry between the two is unmatched along with other teammates like Pat and Evans.
The Boozer twins are aiming to have the highest expectations on the squad.
“Boozer was the first player in double-figures, scoring his 10th point from the charity stripe. A steal and dunk by the freshman forced Howard’s second timeout of the opening half, with 1:07 on the clock,” said NCAA reporters.
During the game, it seemed as if all the players were on fire. Players like Cameron Sheffield were hitting triples all night long. Before Howard knew it, they were down by 30 to the Duke Blue Devils.
Duke shows dominance over new opponents no matter the circumstance.
“Sunday afternoon was the first meeting between the two teams. Duke is 12-0 when playing on Nov. 23,”said NCAA reporters.
