The Struthers Wildcats took on the Poland Bulldogs at 7pm at the Bulldog Stadium. The rivalry between the two teams made it an interesting Friday night.
With this game, the outcome for the victory didn’t determine anything for the playoffs, or where the teams seed in the bracket.
The last time Struthers defeated Poland was two years ago during the playoffs.
“I’m prepared for the game by getting pumped with my music and focusing on what I need to do to get done,” says Myers
Poland and Struthers have been rivals for several years now, which always makes these games interesting.
As the season for the seniors gets closer to the end, the seniors had to make sure these games were something special.
Myers says, “I had a good career; these games this year will hold a special spot in me.”
The Struthers Wildcats are all about community. Every home game the stands are packed and that motivates the Wildcats.
Motivation from all the players will keep the team pumped up and ready for Friday night’s game.
Myers says, “My motivation for this game was knowing this is my last ever high school football game I will play.”
As the season comes to a close, the Wildcats will always hold these memories with them and fight until the last second. The Bulldogs pulled out the win 52-8.
