The Cincinnati Bengals gave the Pittsburgh Steelers something to cry about: a crazy loss on Thursday, October 16.
For decades now, the Bengals and the Steelers have been after each other, trying their best to win the game. With the first time playing each other this season, the Bengals and the Steelers put up a heck of a suspenseful game.
With 3 touchdowns and 342 yards, Joe Flacco played an amazing game, keeping control of everything he was doing. Following these crazy stats, Ja’marr Chase had record breaking 16 passes on 23 targets, and 161 yards with a touchdown.
For the Bengals to pull in a crazy win, having great guys to catch the ball and guys who aren’t scared to tackle helped them beat the team.
“What helps us to win, we got the best receivers in the world, best DB’s in the world, what more can you ask for,” says Ja’marr Chase, Bengals wide receiver I.
With a total of 14 missed tackles from the Steelers defense, they still tried to lock the Bengals down and check every corner. T.J Watt, one of the Steelers defense linemen, didn’t play very great, until the very end of the game.
With the Bengals great play calling, it helped them pull in the win, especially with their pass plays downfield.
“And so you know as many ways you can analyze it, but the bottom line is they made more plays than us,” says Mike Tomlin, Steelers Head Coach.
Jalen Ramsey, Joey Porter Jr., Darius Slay, and Brandin Echols–cornerbacks on the Steelers–were not able to keep up with Chase’s crazy catches and deep downfield plays.
With the work of the Bengals hard determination and dedication, they were able to pull in the game win, beating the Steelers.
“I’m really proud of our guys. We’ve sat in this locker room for the last four weeks and talked about it. The guys are putting in the right work,” says Zac Taylor, Bengals Head Coach.
