So far, this NFL season has been an interesting one.
In the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs are the 1 seed; they have a record of 6-2. They are in front of the Raiders, Charges and Broncos in the AFC West. Although they are currently ahead of all of the other teams, the Dolphins, Ravens and Jaguars, all currently hold a record of 5-2. In one week, all of the rankings could be completely changed up.
A huge part of the Chiefs success is their tight end, Travis Kelce.
“Travis Kelce turned 34 on Oct. 5 and since then has had the best three-game stretch of his career, with the biggest being his 12-catch, 179-yard, one-touchdown game in Sunday’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers,” says analyst Adam Teicher.
The Philadelphia Eagles are the 1 seed in the NFC. They are 6-1, but two very good teams are very close to them. The 49ers, and the Lions are both 5-2. Just like the AFC, the NFC has a lot of solid contenders, and anything could change at any time.
Although their records are close, the Eagles just had a huge win over the Dolphins.
“The Philadelphia Eagles bounced back in a big way on Sunday night, defeating the Miami Dolphins 31-17 to improve to 6-1 on the year,” says analyst Jeff Kerr.
There are a lot of 4-2 teams in both conferences, such as the Steelers, Seahawks, Cowboys and many more. The NFL changes every week and some teams that have a bad record now could be seen as one of the top teams in the league within the span of a few weeks.
The 49ers are one of the most talented teams in the NFL, and they can beat any team in the league. But, it’s going to be hard for them to regain the top NFC spot.
“There’s a lot of football to go, but the climb just became much steeper for the 49ers if they’re still going to get the No. 1 seed in the NFC,” says analyst Kyle Madson.
