“Descendants” is mostly made as a children’s movie, but audiences of other ages could enjoy it too. It is about good and evil, the evil villains and their kids are all booted to an island called the island of the lost. The good people are on an island called Auradon. Four main villains, Jafar, Evil Queen, Maleficent and Cruella de Vil are all on the island with their children. This falls in the category of comedy and action.
At the Isle of the Lost, there are 4 VKs of “the worst villains of all”: Mal, Maleficent’s daughter, Jay, Jafar’s son, Evie, Evil queen’s daughter, and Carlos, Cruella De Vil’s son. They are all best friends and they have been together for the longest time; they were chosen for a second chance and were invited to go to school in Auradon. The King’s son, Ben, was becoming King soon and wanted this to be his first action because he believed they still had hope to be good and not like their parents. They didn’t want to go, but their parents forced them too because of a big plan they had to escape the island. The kids ended up going and not many people liked them because they believed the VKs were like their parents. They continued going there for a while and Mal used spells from her spell book to fix up everybody’s hair, and they all started to love them.
To make their parents plan work, Mal had to take Audrey’s boyfriend, King Ben. Mal baked magic cookies that had a love spell in them and they started going out. They went on a date to the “Enchanted River,” and Ben had gone in the river. Mal didn’t know for a while, but when Ben had gone in, the spell had washed away. They continued on for a while until his coronation where she made him a cupcake that had a love break spell in it. She gave it to him to eat after, but he ate it before and told her the river had already washed the spell away and he actually loved her. At the coronation, the Fairy Godmother’s daughter, Jane, had stolen her mothers wand and put everyone in danger. Mal took it to help but also because it was her mothers plan to leave; everyone tried talking the VK’s out of it, and they all agreed they wanted to be good and give the wand back. Maleficent was obviously stronger and put everyone but the kids under a spell. The VK’s were finally able to stop her, and everyone was okay.
The movie has enjoyable factors like the comedy, they have multiple movies and the actors. The movie has a lot of jokes and funny scenes in it making it for all audiences and not just children. It also has two other movies with all the original factors which are also just as good. Lastly, the actors put a lot of time and effort into those movies for years which made it so much better when you can see the effort they give.
Overall, this movie deserves 5 out of 5 stars. It is very enjoyable for all ages, and it doesn’t leave people waiting because they keep making movies, so no one has to keep guessing what will happen next. It is also very funny and appropriate for all ages.
