A children’s movie going by the name “Monsters Inc” was released on November 2, 2001. It is a fictional movie about monsters that go through different doors with the intention to scare children. The main characters in the movie are Sully, Mike Wazowski and Boo. Boo is a human while the other 2 are monsters. The monsters battle to be the “Best Scarer.”
The monsters go through training to be scary, thinking all humans are dangerous and toxic which is why they do it. Boo went to their world, and they found out she wasn’t putting anyone in danger and had to get her back home safely. The other monsters didn’t think the same way as Mike and Sully and put the company on an emergency lockdown. Each door to the human world is all in one room, and while they are being chased while trying to get her back and everyone thinking she is dangerous, it was very complicated to get her back. When they finally got her back, they didn’t want to put her into more danger so they destroyed her door completely.
There is another movie as a sequel kind of called “Monsters University.” It shows the beginning of Sully and Mike’s friendship. They met at Monsters University and entered in the scare program to become better scarers. They started as enemies because Sully always had to one up Mike. They got kicked out and entered with a team in the “scare games” with the worst monsters they could’ve been paired up with. They worked together and their team won; Mike found out that Sully rigged the scare machine, and they got disqualified.
A likeable factor of “Monsters Inc.” is the comedy and story between Mike and Sully. It shows friendship between the two and with the sequel movie; it shows how to resolve differences and be kind to everyone. It is also in the comedy genre and has jokes and funny scenes which makes the audience, especially children, want to watch it more and enjoy it.
It deserves a 4.5 star rating out of 5. It is an appropriate movie for the audience and is enjoyable for everyone. It gives good messages and lessons while also having funny scenes and unpredictable endings. It gives a good representation of friendships and working through differences.
