RODRIGO LOSES LOVE

RODRIGO LOSES LOVE

Olivia Rodrigo has announced her third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, set to release June 12, 2026. One single has been released so far and took the media by storm.

The album will contain 13 tracks with the first track being the first single, “drop dead.” The single debuted as No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, setting a record for the first artist in history to have lead singles debut at No. 1 on all three of her albums. You seem pretty sad for a girl so in love—or girl so in love—is a highly anticipated album by many fans across the world. She has even announced a tour set to begin in late September, and many fans have already purchased presale tickets.

So far, Rodrigo’s advertising for the album and the released single, along with “begged,” the second single she sang on “Saturday Night Live,” have many fans awaiting for a new sound and style of music. Her first album, SOUR, is a very melancholic and emotional album with slower and sadder songs. Her second album, GUTS, has a rock-pop, more upbeat and powerful sound to it. Based on her already released singles and what she has revealed about the album, she seems to be switching styles to a different kind of pop. It still has its sadder parts, but it also has upbeat pop aspects to it. It continues the trend of unique albums, making listeners even more excited for the upcoming release.

Rodrigo has established that the album is told in something like chapters, making it a journey to follow throughout its release. This is a really interesting way to go about creating art as it builds a world with storytelling, captures an audience and creates intrigue, pushing consumers to listen to the music. It makes it easier for fans to connect with while still fully understanding the message she is trying to encapsulate. This is a unique concept that makes the album overall more interesting and exciting.

All in all, as the album hasn’t been released yet, there is no set in stone rating or recommendation. However, the album is an anticipated 5/5 stars with its pre-established genre and storyline.
