"WICKED: FOR GOOD" TAKES OVER THEATERS ACROSS NATION

“Wicked: For Good” was released on November 21, 2025.

“Wicked: For Good” is approximately 2 hours and 17 minutes, which is slightly shorter than the movie before it. It continues the story seen in part one titled “Wicked.” The soundtrack includes 11 songs, just like the first movie. The movie includes key musical numbers from the second act of the stage play as well as two new songs “No Place Like Home” and “The Girl In The Bubble.” The main characters are Elphaba and Glinda just like the first movie. There weren’t many new actors introduced, only a few such as Colman Domingo as the cowardly lion.

The acting in “Wicked: For Good” was generally met with high praise by audiences and critics. There was a lot of praise for the lead’s emotional depth. Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba was described as outstanding, while Ariana Grande received positive feedback for her nuanced, mature performance as Glinda. Audiences enjoyed a lot of the supporting cast’s performances as well. Jeff Goldblum’s portrayal of the Wizard was well-received. Some audiences did not appreciate the fact that some side characters (like Johnathan Bailey’s Fiyero) didn’t have enough screentime for how good the characters are. Many viewers also felt like the chemistry between Erivo and Grande was realistic and carried the emotional weight of the story.

“Wicked: For Good”  is often considered the more emotional, story-driven film; some even consider it the better of the two. Its focus on friendship, sacrifice and the lasting impact of love create the deeply emotional, tear-jerker finale. The movie is a whirlwind of sadness, joy and nostalgia. A lot of the film centers on Elphaba and Glinda’s bittersweet, permanent separation. The song “For Good” particularly moved audiences as it’s a duet between the two about their unfair sacrifices they have to make. Scenes showing their bond and the tender moments, and the painful goodbyes are designed to make the audience feel the rollercoaster of emotions.

“Wicked: For Good” deserves a 10/10 rating for its great acting as well as its deep and emotional scenes.
