JANE BECOMES BRIDE

JANE BECOMES BRIDE

“27 Dresses,” directed by Anne Fletcher, was released on January 18, 2008. It has a runtime of one hour and fifty one minutes.

The movie follows a woman named Jane Nichols (Katherine Heigl) whose side job is being a bridesmaid in other people’s weddings. She has been in 27 weddings so far. She is secretly in love with her boss, George (Edward Burns), who ends up falling in love with her sister because she lies about who she is. Jane ends up meeting Kevin (James Marsden) after having a rough night after two weddings, and they fall in love with each other. At the end of the movie, Jane finally gets to have her own wedding with Kevin.

The message of “27 Dresses” is a very important part of the movie. Jane learns to put herself first instead of prioritizing others in front of her. She learned to stand up for herself and found the true love that she was seeking. This really brings the movie together because it makes it more sentimental.

Jane has worn 27 bridesmaid dresses to all of the weddings she has worked at. She decided that at her wedding all of the brides were her bridesmaids, and they wore the same dresses they had her wear. It shows that she is finally putting herself before others and that she finally found love. This is very important to the story because the dresses showed how she changed throughout the movie.

Overall, this movie is recommended to people ages 13 and up who enjoy romantic comedy movies.
