STUDENTS PROVIDE POSITIVE INSIGHT ON DENNISON’S CLASS

The students of Miss Dennison’s class were interviewed. They were asked questions relating to Dennison’s style of teaching and characteristics of her classroom that make the class different from others. The students provided insight on the positive impact  Dennison has made in many students’ lives throughout the school day. 

Despite the various students interviewed, everyone strongly agreed that they have successfully learned in Dennison’s class. They applaud her creative lesson plans and the unique learning styles she executes for her class. The juniors differentiate her class among others because of the comfortable classroom environment she has created. By incorporating hands-on activities and projects, Dennison is noticed for her great efforts in making learning fun. Amongst all the characteristics that have been highlighted of this teacher, her kindness and hospitality is what all students credit her for most. 

Juniors show appreciation to Miss Dennison’s classroom environment. 

“She is creative and comes up with different ideas for each lesson plan,” says Julie Briggs. 

“She makes her class more interactive and has a comfortable setting to learn in,” says Leah Markotan.

“She helps us study and gives us more materials instead of just telling us to study,” says Liv Waback. 

“Miss Dennison is like a friend and a teacher,” says Max Casillas. 

 “She teaches more hands on and takes students feedback,”  says Ryan Borgmann. 

“She is very understanding and she cares about her students,” says  Jake Cracraft. 

Dennison has impacted her students throughout junior year by providing continuous support to them. Students appreciate the humbleness that Miss Dennison acquires. She is personable and does not make students feel less than. The students of Miss Dennison’s class agree that they look forward to going into her class and participating. Some students even express that her class period is what allows them to get through the school day.

Miss Dennison is applauded for the immense care she provides her students with. 

“She has made me feel supported. Even when I fall behind, she makes a way for me to get caught up on work,” says Briggs. 

“She made it easier to get through the school day and made me excited each day for her lesson plan,” says Markotan.

“She is very personable and does not make me feel less than her,” says Waback. 

 “She makes my day better when I go into the two classes I have with her,” says Casillas.   

“She makes the day a lot more bearable,” says Borgmann. 

“She makes the day easier to get through,” says Cracraft. 

The students reflect on their favorite activities they have participated in within Dennison’s class, including: group notes, educational booklets, and group projects such as reacting Congress within the legislative branch. Surprisingly, presenting–which is typically an unpopular assignment in another class–is widely enjoyed by many in Dennison’s classroom. 

The students share the various ways Dennison makes learning fun. 

“I liked reacting to how a bill was passed in Congress,” says Briggs.  

“I enjoy doing booklets and slideshow notes,” says Markotan. 

“I like when we do notes because we have good conversations,” Waback says. 

“I like when we present,” says Casillas. 

“I enjoy doing reviews for tests and booklets,” says Cracraft. 

“I like doing projects and group activities,” says Borgmann. 

All students that were interviewed and more plan to take future classes with Dennison. The majority of juniors are excited to enroll in Dennison’s Law Studies class to increase their knowledge on government and participate in debates.
