Do you think graduating is exciting or scary? Why?
I think it can be both at the same time. It can be scary if you don’t know exactly what you want to pursue after high school, but at the same time, it can be exciting if you do know what you want to do after high school.
Best advice you would give to an underclassmen?
I would say to enjoy it. Take a moment and stop and look around what you have and who you have around you because it doesn’t last forever. Enjoy the little moments and not having many responsibilities and make friends with everyone.
Was high school all you expected it to be?
I’m not even sure. I don’t remember what I expected it to be when I was in 8th grade, but all I knew was that I was excited for it.
What moment from school would you most want to relive?
I wouldn’t choose to relive any moment, because I enjoyed all of it.
Where do you see yourself after graduation?
I see myself going to college.
If you could change one thing you did in high school, what would it be?
I would’ve never gone to the Impact Academy my freshman year, and I would’ve been a lot more social.
Who is an SHS student that you wish you would have met sooner?
I’m not sure to be honest, but I just wish I would’ve spoken to more people
What are you most scared for after you graduate?
I would say the big change in the routine. It’s something that I am not going to be used to because every day in my life (besides summer) I would wake up, get ready for school and see the same faces I’ve seen for years. Now, all of that changes so I would say the big change in routine.

Do you think graduating is exciting or scary? Why?
I definitely think graduating is scary, but in the best way possible. You’re starting a whole new chapter in your life while being used to waking up every day doing the same thing for the last 12 years of your life. But, I think it’s exciting in the sense that we’re getting to chase after our dreams and what we want to do.
Best advice you would give to an underclassmen?
I think the best advice I can give is to actually care about school as stupid as it sounds. Don’t worry about boys or drama and don’t let it affect your mental health and grades. Because when you graduate and you didn’t care about your grades all of high school until senior year, you won’t be able to be accepted into a lot of colleges and you won’t meet some requirements to fill out scholarships for those colleges.
Was high school all you expected it to be?
Not at all. The middle school teachers always tried to prepare us for going into high school saying it was going to be so much harder. But, that wasn’t really the case at all. Highschool was a lot easier. I feel you were treated more like an adult and not a child.
What moment from school would you most want to relive?
My freshman year. I’d do it all over again if I could because I let the drama and stupid boys get to me. I stopped showing up for school, I had terrible grades. I had such a low GPA but I didn’t think it would mean anything at the time.
Where do you see yourself after graduation?
In cosmetology school. I’ve been so set on doing hair since I was a little girl.
If you could change one thing you did in high school, what would it be?
The way I let go, and how I didn’t get involved in too much and held back.
Who is an SHS student that you wish you would have met sooner?
I cannot say the name, but this person made a huge impact on who I am up until this very moment.
What are you most scared for after you graduate?
Everything just feels so different. I feel like I’m not going to know what to do with my free time.

Do you think graduating is exciting or scary? Why?
I think graduating is definitely exciting because it’s starting a whole new part of your life after going to school everyday. I think there are parts that are definitely scary, like I won’t be with the same people after going to school with them my whole life, but I think every change coming is good.
Best advice you would give to an underclassmen?
The best advice I would give is to make sure you always care about school and your grades because it can affect you a lot more than you think later in school.
Was high school all you expected it to be?
No, when I was in middle school I struggled in some classes, but once I got to high school it got easier and the teachers were nicer. Also when our grade got into high school they changed a lot and everyone stays to their groups and we all got along better.
What moment from school would you most want to relive?
A moment from school I would want to relive would be my junior year because that was when I got my GPA the most, I moved back to the school I wanted, and it was my last year I was able to cheer before I get to graduate.

After graduation, I see myself becoming a social worker in child and family services.

One thing I would change I did in high school was being involved more in clubs or school activities.

There wasn’t just one person, but Jayla and Jonaija were people I wish I got with closer sooner and without them my senior year wouldn’t be the same.

After graduation, I’m most scared on how to officially be on my own and become responsible for everything while still being successful.
