HANNA HYPES UP STRUTHERS VOLLEYBALL

Madelyn Hanna is a sophomore at Struthers High School. She is a current student athlete for volleyball and has been playing for Struthers since 7th grade.

Hanna was inspired by her friends to join the volleyball team because she felt that it would be fun. Over the years, the athlete has stayed motivated through practices and the feeling of improvement. She loves being part of the team and doing something she loves with good people surrounding her.

The athlete feels the best thing about volleyball is the environment and determination.

“I enjoy playing volleyball because it is something that gives me a purpose, and it is exciting to play with my friends/teammates,” says Hanna.

While the athlete stays involved in the school through volleyball, she is also in many clubs. These clubs include an Interact Club, Future Teachers Club and Medical Careers Club. She also maintains good grades and always puts school before extracurricular activities.

Hanna believes that everyone should give volleyball a chance because it is a good experience, and it makes you feel good about yourself over time when you start to feel improvement.

“It is a super fun sport and improves your confidence over time while you learn more and more,” says the student.

Hanna says that she plans on playing volleyball throughout high school because the thought of her future seasons is what gets her pumped up before games. The athlete is looking forward to the upcoming season because she thinks the team has improved a lot over the past year, and it is always a fun time at volleyball.

The student feels that the team will perform well this upcoming season.

“I am excited for the upcoming season because our team has a great season ahead of us where I think we are going to excel,” says the athlete.
