THE GORGE: THRILLING OBSTACLES CHALLENGES THE BRAVE

Apple special TV series The Gorge was released late 2025, with strong performance. The film created an 80% increase in new Apple TV+ subscribers over its debut weekend.

The show starts out with a retired hot shot sniper named Levi (Miles Teller). He is recruited by a secret military officer for a special mission which only lasts a single year before they hire a new person for the job. He gets flown out blind folded to a sniper tower where he is isolated and the nearest person is a woman named Drasa (Anya Taylor-Joy). She has the same job as him, across the valley. He isn’t allowed to make any contact with her, and his only contact was with the previous tower guard which was later flown out. After a few months, they got bored and communicated to each other via writing on a large white board; they even began to offer their skills to each other. They end up meeting together and finding out the secrets of the government; they fight for survival against the military forces sent after them.

The plot of the movie was pretty good; there were surprises left and right. The story of going up against the secret parts of the government was suspenseful. Each moment was a new surprise; most of the movie was unexpected. The twist about part of the government being top secret towards the rest of the government was a great twist to the movie.

Character development is also extremely well done in this movie. The characters’ background and past are shown, and we’re able to see where they started from. They portrayed the characters’ past through flashbacks to important moments. The characters end up going on a date while on duty, even though their jobs prohibited them from making contact with each other. We watch as the characters end up growing closer to each other and watch them go up against the secret part of the government.

The movie was overall well done and received a seven out of ten stars. This movie is recommended movie to anyone who likes top fiction secret government projects.
