FOSTER FOLLOWS THROUGH WITH EVERYTHING

Ari’Ana Foster, also known as Ari, is a senior at Struthers High School. She has done many sports in her life; those being wrestling, competitive and school cheerleading, softball, as well as trying out for soccer.

The senior is not only athletic; she is academically inclined. This young lady has done so much during high school; it’s almost hard to keep track of it all.

The smartest thing to do in your early years of high school is get involved with everything and anything you can.

“I am involved in many school clubs such as LINK, Big Cat Little Cat, Spanish Club and Senior Class Representative as a secretary, Interact Club, Medical Careers Club, Future Teachers Club, Student Council and Art Squad. I love all of the clubs/student organizations because it allows me to be involved in my community and in my school,” says the athlete.

Big Cat Little Cat member is a three year track letter winner. She has done many different things in this sport; this year is no different.

Track and really any sport can change a significant amount when staying with a specific one for so long.

“Right now, I participate in throwing; I do both shotput and discus. I just started throwing last year. Before throwing, I did long jump and also high jump along with sprinting in the 100 and 200 meter dash. I have also participated in relay races,” says the Interact Club member.

This student does both above and beyond to keep up on her sports and extracurricular activities. She is very good at managing all these things.

Participating in sports and outside activities can be demanding, especially for students who take on multiple responsibilities.

“It is sometimes challenging to balance everything. For track, I practice every day during the week for track, but I also have cheer practice and a part-time job. I also try to complete homework during my early release, and if not I complete it immediately after practice. You have to not procrastinate and get things done because it is often easy to fall behind,” says the LINK leader.
