TUSIN REFLECTS LEADERSHIP

Skylar Tusin is a junior at Struthers High School who plays basketball and is very dedicated to it.

She has played for eight years and most enjoys all the different ways to make shots.

She has someone she looks up to for plays.

Tusin says, “I really love Paige Buckers because she is elite, high-IQ basketball skills, immense resilience in overcoming injuries and commitment to using her platform.”

In other areas of her life, basketball has taught her motivation to keep her grades up and to be responsible.

She motivates herself to go by always getting a good drink to start practices and games alongside with her biggest supporter.

Tusin says, “My dad shows up at every game, and it makes me want to be better.”

She enjoys her team and will continue playing for the rest of high school.

She and the team take criticism very seriously and work together efficiently with dedication.

Tusin says,  “We were playing a very good team and they had more people then us so we had to work together to make sure everyone could breathe and making sure to guard people.”

She will continue to push through every hardship that comes her way because she really loves the sport and takes pride in it.
