KASHMIRY KILLS IT ON SIDELINES

Kylee Kashmiry is a junior who has been cheering for a very long time, starting her journey back in elementary school. She took a small break during high school, but she is back and better than ever. She cheers as a backspot for the team.

Kashmiry loves watching the football team win; seeing them get the glory gives her a lot more energy and confidence. She feels proud of the boys when they win. When she watches them lose, it brings up a sense of disappointment. She becomes upset for them, but she knows they’ll practice and improve themselves.

When choosing between cheering for football or basketball, the choice was clear in her mind.

“I prefer football a lot more because I enjoy being outside cheering for our school,” says Kashmiry.

Last year was a really good year of reflection for her. She feels that her biggest accomplishments came from that year. She learned what the right thing to do and the wrong just the same. She is motivated to continue cheering from the support she gets from her family and the possibility of getting a letter for the sport.

The break she took from cheerleading brought Kashmiry clarity upon her return.

“It felt refreshing and good to come back with a better mindset,” says Kashmiry.

Kashmiry absolutely loves cheerleading, so she is sad to know she only has a year remaining. Even though she’s sad, she is ultimately very excited for her senior season. She is ready to have the responsibility of being a senior and having the ability to be an outlet for the underclassmen.

Kashmiry has a beautiful love for Friday Night Lights; those nights  bring her a sense of happiness.

“[Friday Night Lights are] exciting knowing I get to pump the crowd up and get ready for a good game,” says Kashmiry.

Kashmiry plans on being a lawyer and studying at an undecided college located in Florida. The cheerleader does not plan on continuing cheer after her senior year concludes.
