TARR RISES TO SUCCESS

Ryan Tarr is a sophomore student at Struthers High School. He is a proud member of the Wildcats football and wrestling team.

Tarr is a multi-sport athlete and has participated in football for 5 years and wrestling since the beginning of this winter. He enjoys the encouragement of his teammates, coaches and parents when competing.

Ryan has many favorite aspects from these sports, but he won’t forget about the biggest one that has impacted his life.

“I like playing football because of the intensity of the game, and I like wrestling because it’s enjoyable and fun but exhausting at the same time,” says the sophomore.

During the off season, he tends to train a lot to build up muscle for the upcoming season. Even though the athlete has his rough patches, that never stops him from staying encouraged and helping his teammates out.

He believes that the most important aspect of these sports is being a player who stays encouraged and is willing to put forth the effort to succeed.

“You need to be a team player and be willing to put in the time and effort,” says Ryan.

As the sophomore got older, he watched a lot of football with his family and friends. This is one of the main causes of him wanting to participate in this sport.

Even though watching this sport encouraged Ryan, he always remembers the one person on his team he looked up to the most.

“I look up to Aidan Brown on the football team because he’s always full of energy and gets everyone locked in and ready for the upcoming game,” says Tarr.
