Drew Chizmar is a junior and a student athlete at Struthers High School. Chizmar is a 3rd baseman on the high school baseball team. The athlete plays baseball year round along with working a job, juggling practice and hanging out with friends and family.
The student athlete has been playing baseball since he was in the third grade, which he has been playing since from little league up until now.
The junior looks at family to inspire him to play baseball.
“My dad was a big inspiration for me playing baseball,” says the baseball player.
The athlete has good memories from last season that can potentially help him better himself for this upcoming year and the chemistry from the new athletes and past athletes being a team.
Chizmar is a big asset to the team and proves it with memories from last season, along with building the team’s chemistry to come together.
“Hitting the game winning double against Lakeview. Also our chemistry has grown and overall just got better,” says Chizmar.
The athlete is a third baseman and a pitcher but believes he is better at hitting. He’s a strong asset to the team on both sides.
Chizmar strives to be a strong impact for the team.
“I play third base and I pitch, and I wouldn’t play any other position. I’d say I’m a better hitter than playing on the field,” says the junior.
