TYLER, THE CREATOR IMPRESSES AUDIENCES WITH NEW ALBUM

Tyler, the Creator released “Call Me If You Get Lost” on June 25, 2021.

The album consists of 16 songs, varying in length. The whole album is about 52 minutes long. There were many notable features such as Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert, 42 Dugg, Youngboy Never Broke Again, Ty Dolla $ign, Domo Genesis, Brent Faiyaz, Teezo Touchdown and Pharell Williams. This album is one of the many that was produced solely by Tyler. All the beats and samples were created or arranged by him. Some of the most popular songs within the album are “WUSYANAME,” “SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE” and “CORSO.”

“Sweet / I Thought-” is a two-part song that is about 9 minutes long. It features vocals by Brent Faiyaz and Fana Hues. The song explores the rise and fall of a romance. “Sweet” focuses on infatuation and bliss, while “I Thought You Wanted To Dance” reflects on heartbreak, regret and a failed relationship. The songs manage to genre bend as they mix dreamy R&B with sunny reggae-inspired sounds. The song is popular amongst fans as many resonate with the relatable themes of infatuation and heartbreak.

“Sir Baudelaire” is a shorter song on the album at only one and a half minutes. A common thread amongst each one of Tyler’s albums is the creation of a new persona each time an album is released. This song in particular tells the story of “Sir Baudelaire,” the persona for this album. He represents a high-class, traveling persona inspired by French poet Charles Baudelaire. The song is known for its smooth, luxurious vibe, combining soulful samples with confident, braggadocious rapping that convey the songs themes of travel and success.

This album deserves a 10/10 rating for its impressive musicality and storytelling.
