“WELCOME TO DERRY” TERRIFIES AUDIENCE

Welcome to Derry is a series exploring the origins of Pennywise the clown and the dark history of Derry, Maine, set in the 1960’s but developing into the earlier eras like 1908.

The show reveals Pennywise in his original human clown form, Bob Gray (Bill Skarsgård), who becomes possessed by an ancient evil entity IT. The show focuses on early hauntings like the tragic Black Spot fire introducing a new group of kids drawn into its cycle of terror just like in the movies. The show also explores Stephen King’s lore, showing how the town becomes a breeding ground for fear, with characters experiencing gruesome events and a terrifying demonic baby Form of IT. It shows all of the parents of the kids in the movies and their parents fight off the evil IT reactivating Derry’s ancient cage using a piece of fallen meteor trapping Penneywise again before he can escape thanks to riches ghost.

The way the show ties into the two movies that was created really makes this series great. The producers did an amazing job with making the set look like the real 1960’s and the graphics of Pennywise are amazing. The producers made the ending so satisfying because they left no parts out and made the audience not question a thing. They also did a great job with basing it off Stephen King’s “IT” and making the cast from the first two movies matter in the TV series.

The actor who plays Pennywise did an amazing job. The actor Bill Skarsgård played this role so well. The way they made him look in the makeup and how he could make his voice sound that way without any sounds of him doing it naturally is genius. The producers gave him an amazing role and the way he made Pennywise look and sound terrifying is amazing. This role was played so well by him it left the audience without a question about anything.

The show deserves a 5/5 rating due to the amazing things that happened while filming this show and the actors all did amazing jobs and played their roles to their fullest.
