LAUFREY BEWITCHES FANS WITH ALBUM

Laufey’s album “Bewitched” was released on September 8, 2023.

The “Bewitched” album standard edition is about 48 minutes long featuring 14 songs. Although, the deluxe version is slightly longer at 1 hour and 1 minute featuring 18 songs. Some notable tracks include “From The Start,” “Promise” and “Bewitched.” The deluxe includes four bonus tracks, those being “Bored,” “Trouble,” “It Could Happen To You” and “Goddess.” 

“From The Start” is by far the most popular song within the album–and for good reason. The song is a blend of bossa nova/jazz pop–a classic style for Laufey. It tells the relatable story of a secret crush as well as unrequited love. Even for those who aren’t into jazz, it’s so catchy and well-produced that it can be for everyone.

“Goddess” is arguably one of the best songs on the album. It captures the feeling of being perfect or a “goddess” on stage, while also being a vulnerable human offstage. She conveys the idolization vs. reality amazingly well. Her musicality within the song is perfect as well. With the soothing lows and powerful belts, the song is perfect all around.

This album deserves a 10/10 rating as the songs are emotional and have an overall amazing quality.
