“Fuller House” is the Netflix series that serves as a continuation of the sitcom “Full House.”
The first season came out on February 26, 2016, and season five was later released in June of 2020. The main cast includes D.J. Tanner (Candace Cameron Bure), Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin), Danny Tanner (Bob Saget), Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber), Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos), Jackson Fuller (Michael Campion), Max Fuller (Elias Harger) and Tommy Fuller Jr. (The twins Dashiell and Fox Messitt). The show consists of D.J. Tanner, who is a widow and a veterinarian. With the help of her sister, Stephanie, and best friend Kimmy, who move in, she raises her three sons in their San Francisco home.
An important part of “Fuller House” is the relationships that form throughout the show. There is a key bond between D.J., Stephanie, and Kimmy. They all support each other and have a sisterly connection that makes them inseparable. Although they can get under each other’s skin sometimes, they always find a way to make it work out. This makes the show more interesting and complex, as their relationship develops. Another bond is between D.J. and her three kids: Jackson, Max and Tommy. They like to laugh and experience life together, as D.J. navigates being a mother. This relationship shows that no matter what happens, you always have family to lean on. Therefore, the connections between the cast develop over time, which creates a friendly atmosphere, as they all work together.
Another aspect of “Fuller House” is the nostalgic feeling it brings from the original show “Full House” that came out in 1987. Something that created this feeling was having some of the original cast members and roles. This made the show feel familiar, as more people would want to watch the new and improved “Fuller House.” Along with that, both of the shows were shot in the same location. This created a setting that was known to most people, making it easier to get people to watch. Lastly, phrases that were originally said were brought onto the scripts of the series, making the watchers more engaged. All in all, the feeling and atmosphere that the show brought took people back to the days when they first watched “Full House.”
Overall, the show “Fuller House” gets a 5 out of 5 stars because the cast, setting and relationships work together really well. In addition, it would be recommended for anyone who is looking for a classic sitcom to watch.
