Anna Watson is a freshman at Struthers High School. She has been playing volleyball for 3 seasons and just recently finished her first season for SHS. Watson is a hardworking student who always stays on top of her work.
While the student is transitioning from middle school to high school, she believes that she has to put in a lot more effort. She has many after school activities, but she always makes sure to put school first.
The student feels that the best way to control her time is to focus on school.
“I manage my time by prioritizing my studies,” says Watson.
This year Anna Watson takes many difficult classes including Honors Geometry, Honors English 9, Honors Biology, Global Studies, Entrepreneurship and French 1. These classes take a lot of time and effort. Although these classes can be a lot at times, Watson still enjoys them.
Watson feels that other students should take these classes because they have taught her a lot.
“I recommend these classes to other students because I have so much fun in them, and I have gained new responsibilities so it has made me responsible,” says the student.
She always had to tackle two focuses at once including volleyball and school. The student athlete made sure to do what was right in order to always maintain good grades and play well at volleyball.
Watson finds it difficult to focus on school and sports at the same time, but she always found a way to do so.
“Volleyball can sometimes be challenging to do with school, but I manage,” says Watson.
